Today was the last day of the longest birthday party ever with got Cat.Chat's BIRTHDAY BLAST: A Celebration of Life! Vacation Bible School. We hope you joined us and enjoyed the songs the children performed. It was beautiful!
Prayer: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, thank you for this great blast we had at our Cat Chat Birthday Blast VBS. Help us to celebrate this beautiful gift of life and encourage others to always Choose Life! We pray for all families to live out their call to love. Saints Louis & Zelie, pray for us. Amen.
Theme
The Theme was “CELEBRATE LIFE!” At each of our stations, we had fun learning about how our lives are a gift and worth celebrating each and every day. God has a plan for each one of us!
Virtue of the Day
The Virtue of the Day was Cheerfulness. To be cheerful means to show happiness and look on the bright side. We did a demonstration asking the children to show us how cheerfulness and grumpiness look like. We used the sounds of whistling and nails on a chalkboard to show how some sounds make people smile while other sounds make people cringe. When we are cheerful, we can give life to the people around us and give them the chance to smile. Grumpy actions and sounds take away life and can make people cringe and feel irritated or sad.
Saint of the Day
The Saint of the Day was Saints of the Day were St. Louis & St. Zelie. We presented each child with a saint card today, so please read the story on the back of the card with your child.
Faith Station
The Bible verse of the day is John 10:10. “I came so that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.” Today, we learned about two saints. The first married couple canonized in the Catholic Church. And they are parents of St. Therese of Lisieux (the Little Flower).
Music Station
The new Cat.Chat songs of the day were “Smile” and “Rejoice." Ask your child to sing and do some of the actions to these songs. You can also download all the songs with this link. We hope you continue to listen to the songs hey learn this week so VBS will remain in their heart all year long.
Craft Station
Today we made Birthday Blast Party Bags. Ask your child to show you the party favors they picked out to fill their bags . We also had a Saint of the Day Coloring Page.
Snack Station
Today the kids made Celebration of Life Cup Cakes and had a special treat generously donated by Rosemaries in Quakertown..ask them what it was.
Games Station
We played some fun games in the games station today. Ask your child what they did in games today.
